Energy Supply Contracting – the economic solution for your energy supplies

Energy supplies represent an important cost factor for commercial and residential properties nowadays. Increasing prices for heat and electricity on one hand, and growing demand on the other, suggest that we should use the significant savings potential which can be achieved with the use of innovative technologies. However, lots of building owners often lack the funds or the necessary know-how for investments in new technology as well as the necessary modernisations and maintenance. Providers of services close to energy have developed innovative solutions and contract models.

Cofely Energy Services show you new ways to efficiency with Energy Supply Contracting. Buildings can be operated more economically, energy costs can be reduced and the property can be reliably supplied with energy and heat. As one of the leading technical suppliers in Germany, Cofely Energy Services specialises in the construction and operation of decentralised energy supply systems. Industrial companies, commercial properties, residence associations and community facilities are some of Cofely’s heating customers.

Cofely Energy Services operates around 600 central heating systems with an output range from 30 kW to 20,000 kW and currently supplies more than 20,000 accommodation units throughout Germany with heat for water and hot water preparation.

What is Energy Supply Contracting?

Energy Supply Contracting (also called Energy Contracting) is a service for the owners, administrators and users of residential and commercial properties, as well as for industrial users. The contracting providers (e.g. Cofely Energy Services) take over the planning and construction of energy production and distribution systems or systems for measurement and control technology, as well as the financing and operation of systems and the supply and invoicing of the finished end products, namely heat, refrigeration, electricity and other useful energies.

With Energy Supply Contracting, the building owners only pay for the actual energy costs, while the contracting providers bear the costs of investment. The Cofely energy experts know how to reduce energy costs and where investments must be made. The energy consumption and applicable costs are initially analysed. The condition of the building is also assessed. We can then develop a coherent energy concept for you:

Use of renewable energy

The decision has been made since June 2008: the German Bundestag has paved the way for strengthened support for renewable energy in the electricity and heating market. The Renewable Energy Heating Laws (abbreviated: EEWärmeG) are expected to take effect from 1 January 2009.

Up until the year 2020, the proportion of renewable energies for heating needs in Germany should increase from the current 6%, to 14%. This means that homeowners should cover part of their heating requirements with renewable energy in new housing. For example, the EEWärmeG specifies the use of solar systems, heat pumps or biomass heating. This usage obligation applies to new buildings from 1 January 2009 and affects all owners – private individuals, the state or business.

The legal regulations make matters clear: renewable energies are continuing to gain importance in the housing industry. It is foreseeable that tenants will also pay attention to the type of energy supply in their residential building, when deciding upon a property in the future. COFELY Energy Services has already gained years of experience in the use of biomasses, such as wooden pellets or woodchips, for heating supplies. The positive resonance from satisfied customers encourages us in the use of regenerative energy sources.

Whether you decide upon conventional or renewable energy sources, Cofely Energy Services can provide you with expert advice on all matters regarding the optimal supply of energy for your property.
